Cancellation and No-Show Policy

You’ll receive an SMS reminder before your appointment. If you can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible to avoid any fees.

We understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request at least 12 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 12 hours' notice may incur a $50 fee. For no-shows, where no notice is provided and the appointment is missed, a $50 fee will also apply.

Please note: This fee is not covered by Health Insurance, Medicare, Workers Compensation, or ICWA claims and must be paid before your next appointment.

A: Often, yes — subject to availability. We prioritise urgent issues such as acute injuries, severe pain or dizziness/vertigo where possible.

A: Yes — call or email us to join the cancellation/waitlist and let us know your preferred days/times so we can contact you if something opens up.

A: You can reschedule or cancel via your online booking (HealthEngine/HotDoc) or by calling/ emailing the clinic. Please give at least 12 hours’ notice where possible.

A: Walk-ins are subject to availability and may not be possible. We recommend booking ahead to ensure your preferred time and physiotherapist.

A: An initial in-clinic physiotherapy assessment is required before starting hydrotherapy. This appointment can be booked online via either HealthEngine or HotDoc. Home visits and Telehealth cannot be booked online at this stage. Please call 08 9244 8588 or email chris@lakegwelupphysio.com.au with your preferred days and times and we will do our best to accommodate you.

A: Bring your contact details, private health card (if claiming rebates), and referral/claim details (Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, MVA) if applicable.

A: Yes — when booking online or by phone, you can request a specific physiotherapist based on your preference or clinical needs.
