Hydrotherapy & Aquatic Physiotherapy in Gwelup

Experience the benefits of hydrotherapy (aquatic physiotherapy) at Lake Gwelup Physiotherapy, conveniently located near Lake Gwelup Reserve and close to Karrinyup, Stirling, Balcatta, Innaloo, Carine, and Perth’s northern suburbs.

Hydrotherapy uses the natural properties of warm water—including buoyancy and resistance—to support movement, reduce joint stress, and enhance rehabilitation. It is ideal for:

  • Reducing joint and muscle pain
  • Assisting with post-surgery rehabilitation
  • Supporting safe, graduated weight-bearing exercise
  • Improving balance and stability for falls prevention
  • Strengthening muscles with low-impact resistance

Our hydrotherapy physiotherapy sessions are delivered in a heated pool under the supervision of experienced physiotherapists trained in water-based exercise prescription. Your physiotherapist will be in the pool with you, providing guidance to ensure safe and effective exercise.

Who Can Benefit from Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy is particularly effective for conditions such as arthritis, chronic pain, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. With reduced joint loading and increased comfort, it allows you to exercise safely and confidently.

We provide hydrotherapy in Gwelup for a wide range of clients, including:
