Mobility, Balance and Falls Prevention Education and Exercise Programs
Good balance and muscle strength are crucial to maintaining mobility and independence as we age. At Lake Gwelup Physiotherapy, we are dedicated to helping you achieve these goals through our specialised programs.
Our team is committed to providing personalised care to help you maintain a healthy, active, and independent lifestyle. We offer a range of services tailored to address mobility, balance, and falls prevention, including home visits for falls prevention.
If you have a home care package or are a self or plan-managed NDIS client, funding may be available for our home visit services. Our physiotherapists will work with you to develop a tailored program that meets your needs and goals.
In addition to home visits, we offer fun and friendly group-based and individual hydrotherapy classes aimed at strengthening key muscle groups for mobility and challenging balance and proprioception. Hydrotherapy provides a safe environment to work on balance without the risk of falling.
At Lake Gwelup Physiotherapy, we also provide advice on how to safely get off the floor in the event of a fall and offer simple home exercises aimed at maintaining muscle strength and balance.
Please note that home visit, gym based rehabilitation and hydrotherapy consultations cannot be booked online. To arrange a home visit appointment, please contact us by phone at (08) 9244 8588 or email us at chris@lakegwelupphysio.com.au.
