Vertigo & Vestibular Physiotherapy in Gwelup

Vertigo & Vestibular Physiotherapy in Gwelup

At Lake Gwelup Physiotherapy, we provide specialised vestibular physiotherapy to assess and treat a wide range of vertigo and balance disorders. Vertigo and dizziness can significantly impact daily activities and quality of life. Our physiotherapists have undertaken Australian Physiotherapy Association-accredited training in vestibular rehabilitation and use evidence-based techniques to help you regain your balance and confidence.

What Is Vertigo?

Vertigo is the sensation of spinning, often caused by issues within the vestibular system. The most common form is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), where dizziness occurs during specific head movements or changes in body position, such as rolling in bed or looking up.

At Lake Gwelup Physiotherapy, we can accurately assess and treat BPPV—often resolving symptoms within a single session using a simple, proven repositioning manoeuvre.

Other Vestibular Conditions We Treat

We also manage dizziness and imbalance caused by:

  • Meniere’s disease
  • Vestibular neuritis and labyrinthitis
  • Cervicogenic dizziness (neck-related dizziness)

Treatment may include gaze stabilisation exercises, balance retraining, neck and posture correction, and manual therapy to address any musculoskeletal contributors.

Located in Gwelup and serving surrounding suburbs including Karrinyup, Stirling, Balcatta, Innaloo and Carine, our vestibular physiotherapy service helps patients overcome dizziness, restore balance, and return to everyday activities with confidence.
